Stay&Go is a vacation rental owner who listed properties exclusively through Airbnb and similar platforms. The client wanted their own website to build an identity, reach visitors directly and stop paying platform fees. The site had to be available in both French and English.
The Solution
Destinations, properties and online booking
Visitors browse destinations, view properties with photos and descriptions, check availability through a booking calendar and send requests via a form. The site displays client reviews, a FAQ, a blog section and a partner carousel. All content is editable by the client from a back-office, with no technical help needed.
The Challenge
The site had to ship in under two months. The client's needs evolved throughout development, with regular back-and-forth on specifications. After the first delivery, new features came in: a blog section and a switch in booking calendar provider. The project ended up spanning four months total.
My work
I handled everything solo, from requirements gathering to production. Since the client had no technical background, I started with several rounds of discussion to understand their expectations, especially around autonomy for updating the site. I designed the mockups using existing references to match their identity. Then I built the frontend, backend and infrastructure, with analytics tracking and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements, mockups, development and initial delivery in two months. Then two more months of iterations to integrate spec changes.
The Outcome
Bilingual site in production. The client manages content independently. Bookings go direct, with no platform fees.

CI / CD
Docker Compose with 3 services: Strapi, PostgreSQL 14.5, Adminer. Multi-stage Node 20 Alpine builds, bridge networking, persistent volumes, ARM compatibility (Apple M1).
